This deal slashes the iPhone’s price in half even before the phone has hit retail shelves.
This deal spread far across the internet and Walmart’s inventory sold out quickly. So, if you missed out on the first round, don’t worry. This deal is here to stay for a long time.
What’s the Deal?
Walmart is offering $200 off the iPhone SE 2nd generation for both AT&T and Verizon.
Prices start at $199 for the 64GB model and climb to $249 for the 126GB model and $349 for the 256GB model.
This is a cash offer that takes $200 off the price of the phone and is not a credit deducted off your bill each month.
How Long Does It Last?
The deal started when pre-orders opened on April 17 and lasts until July 17, 2020. It is available online now and in stores beginning on April 24.
All the iPhones are out of stock online, but keep checking back as Walmart eventually will refresh its inventory.
You can use Walmart’s website to sign up for an in-stock alert or use a third-party service like Zooalert. You also can use Brickseek to find out when your local store has inventory.
What’s the Catch?
There are a few requirements you have to meet if you want to take advantage of this offer. First, you need to be an existing AT&T or Verizon customer with a line that is eligible for an upgrade.
The offer also requires a payment plan with Verizon that splits the payments across 24 months or AT&T, which breaks it down over 30 months.
That means you will pay $8.29 per month on Verizon and $6.63 on AT&T for the 64GB iPhone SE 2nd generation.
There is no penalty for early payments, so you could purchase the phone with an installment plan and pay it off immediately.
Other iPhone SE 2020 Deals
Not everyone will be eligible for this Walmart offer. Thankfully, there are other discounts customers can use to lower the price on this already affordable phone.
Apple is accepting trade-ins and will give you up to $500 for an existing phone.
Best Buy customers who pre-order an iPhone SE 2020 will receive a $50 Best Buy gift card. This promotion is only available when purchasing a carrier phone and does not apply to an unlocked phone.
Wireless carriers like US Cellular, Sprint, T-Mobile and AT&T are giving away the iPhone SE 2nd generation for free or nearly free to customers who sign up for a new line of service. In most cases, the discount will be applied as a bill credit which requires you to maintain the line for the length of the payment plan.
